Dirk Mai mostly takes pictures of bands, especially at concerts, such as The Maine, All Time Low, and Demi Lovato. He takes a lot of pictures of the bands performing, but he also takes pictures of the crowd (sa picture he took at The Maine concert in San Francisco on 7/7/2010 shown below)
Dirk Mai also takes photos of many things other than events, but I personally think some of his best shots are from concerts. He currently works for Cliche magazine and Hillary Frazier, FashionIndie editor, has called Dirk "One of [her] absolute favorite photographers of all time". For some time in 2008, some of his photographs were on display in the Andy Warhol Museum. I think that Dirk Mai is an amazing photographer and I often look at his website to see what new photos he has taken and to get ideas for my own photography.
